BIEDI-TO-SQM CONVERTER
Files of BIEDI format created in 3D mode of mission editor contain information about the balance of objects. At the moment, the only way to export from 3D to 2D mode is mission.sqf which needs to be initialized at the start of the mission. This tool is provided to convert directly into mission.sqm.
Installation: 1. Unpack the archive. 2. Place the folder @ 3de_conv in %Installaion_path%\ArmA 2 3. Register this folder as a mod (in the label game add-mod = @ 3de_conv). It is re-positioning of the objects created in the advanced mode (2D/3D). NOTE: Objects placed without this add-on, after conversion BIEDI to SQM format will not be in their positions in the normal mode (2D).
Usage: 1. Copy mission.biedi from your mission folder created in advanced mode (2D/3D) into unpacked folder 3de_conv. 2. Drag mission.biedi on the icon 3de_conv.exe. It will be creating mission.sqm. NOTE: If mission.sqm already exists then it will be overwritten.
Additional parameters: • intro - Convert as the entry of the mission • win - Convert a conclusion (win) mission • loose - Convert a conclusion (loss) mission NOTE: • You can apply at the same time only one of the parameters. • You can enter additional parameters: • In the command prompt • In created shortcut
Example: In the shortcut of the converter, in the Target field: "C:\%your_path%\ 3de_conv.exe" intro In this case, create a shortcut to 3de_conv.exe within folder 3de_conv. Set a parameter in this shortcut. Drag mission.biedi on this shortcut.
